Local planning authorities as part of the local authority integral to the planning process.  Every application must be considered by the local planning authority and measured against the local plan and material reasons come to a view as to whether an application can be recommended for approval or refused.  In recent years local authorities have come under increased financial pressure and yet they are expected to deliver on the considerable requirements of our society to develop housing and infrastructure.  Therefore, Local Planners are here to help focus entirely on local authorities populated by experienced former senior planning officers from local authorities to provide this much needed support in being able to process planning applications on behalf of local authorities.  It is the policy of Local Planners not to accept instructions from any other organisation other than local authorities and therefore being centred on local authorities we will never have conflicts and can without any pressure consider applications on their merit on behalf of the local authority in accordance with their policies and their considerations.  Furthermore, because our planning consultants have come from a local authority world, they understand all the public interest considerations and procedures and policies the local authorities adhere to.
